Introductory courses

Catering to non project specialists who want to learn about project management practices without getting overwhelmed by jargon, course finishers will be sufficiently prepared to tackle the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® course.

Curriculum:  As per the course outline, covered topics include project characteristics, key roles and responsibilities, the Project Management Office, costs and budget, managing communication, driving and tracking the projects’ work, as well as how to close a project.

Duration: 1 day (7 hours)
Course Fees: $374.50, $20 for NTUC Union members

This course is geared toward New Managers, Administrative and Support staff, Supervisors, Executives, as well as Emerging Managers, with the goal of providing them basic knowledge and key concepts in project management. It will be taught by industry practitioners/lecturers with extensive business management and project management experience.

Curriculum: As per the course outline, participants will learn the project management life cycle, how to plan a project, project team communication, as well as effective project management control.

Duration: 1 day, 9AM-5PM

A short introductory course to the project management process for professionals and managers who are required to manage projects in their work, the course curriculum will first take participants through project management fundamentals before providing them with tools and techniques to carry out a structured planning approach.

Curriculum:  As per the course outline, participants will learn project management fundamentals, how to plan a project, schedule project activities, manage project deadlines, project control, how to manage project stakeholders, project leadership, as well as how to close and review a project.

Duration: 2 days, 10AM-5PM

PMP Certification courses

COMAT’s 5-day course is specially held for individuals looking to sit for, and pass, the Project Management Professional Exam to obtain PMP certification under the Project Management Institute. It will go through the Project Management Institute’s PMI®’s Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) in detail.

Duration: 5 days, 9AM-6PM
Course Fees: $2,782 for Singaporeans and PRs aged 21 and above, $2,182 for Singaporeans aged 40 years and above (SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhancement Funding) , $662 for Singaporeans under WTS Scheme.

This is another preparatory course for individuals who intend to sit for the PMP certification. Course instructors will not only focus on the important topics within the PMBOK® guide but also highlight important areas tested that the PMBOK® guide does not cover. Post-course examination support will also be provided in the form of online practice questions, mock exam simulations, and 6 months of e-mentoring support.

Curriculum: As per the course outline, the course will include a detailed review of the PMBOK® Guide and the Project Management Framework, cover the PMI® Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, and also examination practice.

Duration: 5 days, 9AM-5.5PM

Course Fees: $3210 (inclusive of GST)

This Project Management Professional Training course aims to help participants gain the ability to manage all aspects of a project, and is conducted through experiential learning (lectures and real-time examples). 35 PDUs will be awarded upon successful completion, thus meeting PMI’s project management education criteria, and participants must have prior project management experience.

Curriculum: As per the course outline, covered topics include Project Integration Management, Scope Management, Quality Management, Professional Responsibility as well as a mock exam.

Duration: 5 days, 9AM-5PM
Course Fees: $121-321 for Singaporeans <40 and PRs, $71-121 for Singaporeans aged 40 and above, $1,070 for international applicants/others. This course is SkillsFuture credit claimable.

Others

Offered jointly by Temasek Polytechnic and the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES), the curriculum of this course was designed in-line with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) framework by Project Management Institute (PMI). Do note that interested parties must have a polytechnic diploma at minimum, and are required to have at least 75% attendance and a pass in the examination to be issued the Professional Certificate in Project Management jointly awarded by TP and IES.

Curriculum: As per the course outline, covered topics include Project Integration Management, Stakeholder Management, Cost Management, as well as Procurement Management.

Duration: To be advised; please enquire directly with Temasek Polytechnic.

Course Fees: $2,247.00, $1,747.00 after NSA funding. This course is SkillsFuture credit claimable.

Suitable for professionals in a wide range of fields who want to acquire the skills to become a project manager, this course will cover processes and techniques associated with project management. It will also train participants in leadership, team management and motivation. Do note that interested parties must either hold a Bachelor degree from any recognised university or have at least 5 years of full-time management-level work experience.

Curriculum: Modules that will be covered are Project and People, Project Cost Management, Project Management Overview, as well as Project Time Management.

Duration: 4 months
