NTU Wakeboard Club was formed since 2001 with the aim to gather all wakeboard enthusiasts and to promote the sport within the campus. This club is established for both leisure and competitive purposes.

NTU achieved 1st runner-up placing in the first inter-school friendly competition organized by SWWF in 2002. Thereupon, NTU has been participating in the annual Inter-Varsity Polytechnic Wakeboard Championships (IVPWB).

The club organizes introductory course (Initiation) each semester and a trip to Batam Cable ski each semester vacation. The club also renders support and assistance to activities organized by NTU Sports Club such as the annual sports camp.
