General

Chances are, you’ve used JobsCentral’s portal to find internships or part time jobs at least once in your life. Go one step further in your search by heading down to their job fair! Held since 2006, the fair brings both employers and educational institutes together over 2 days of events. Fair highlights include a Career Summit with talks held by top professionals, covering topics like how to future-proof your career or the types of perfume you can wear to work, and info sessions for those keen on pursuing further studies. Do note that registration is necessary and that the first three hours are exclusive to Singaporeans and PRs.

Singapore’s largest career fair with over 100 participating companies, previous runs have included free career coaching booths and workshops for self-improvement in organized zones, as well as resume clinics! Previous employers include companies such as DBS Bank, MBS, and MNCs. Boasting thousands of job openings ranging from entry to mid-career levels, across various industries such as engineering and nursing, the first day is open only to Singaporeans and PRs. Admission is free.

  • ASEAN Career Fair with Japan

Media

Specifically open only to recently graduated students (including polytechnic students) and undergraduates, the IAS Career Fair is the fair to go to for those keen on a career in Marketing and Communications as copywriters, account directors, and so on! Exhibitors include leading agencies such as Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Oglivy& Mather – and what we find particularly interesting is an open house event that allows you to have first-hand experience of the day-to-day roles within the organization you are eyeing. Built Environment

Singapore is always changing and developing. More BTO flats and housing are being built to accommodate a growing population, and urban planning is always happening to build a more sustainable Singapore, for example. The Built Environment industry is thus robust and challenging. Being one of the clusters slated for Industry Transformation by the Ministry of Trade and Industry Singapore, you can anticipate more exciting opportunities to be opened up to you. If this piques your interest, look out for the annual fair! Held both physically and virtually, the event includes talks by industry insiders, schools, with over 30 participating firms such as Sembcorp, Otis, and Keppel.

Aviation

More at home in the sky than on the ground?Or just passionate about planes, and their ins-and-outs? Head down to the Aviation Open House to see how you can turn your passion into a career with companies such as Singapore Airlines and ST Aerospace! Get a small taste of the knowledge and skills you’ll need through interesting interactive workshops on Flight Science and D.I.Y Air Rocket Making! Sit in on workshops conducted to bring you the latest insights and trends in the industry, and have fun at the interactive game booths after – the fair promises visitors an eye-opening experience.

Open to all Singaporeans, this fair is organised by E2i (the Employment and Employability Institute) and will take place from 10am-4pm. Registration closes on the 29th of October and participating companies include Honeywell Aerospace Singapore, Thales, ST Engineering Aerospace, Diethelm Keller Aviation, and so on. A list of available job positions can be accessed here.

Finance

Actuarial Science (the application of mathematical and statistical methods to assess risk in financial situations) is a fairly niche industry. If you are a business undergraduate considering becoming an actuary, the fair organises breakout sessions where companies introduce their professions by discipline/areas of focus (life/consulting/general insurance) – get insider knowledge of the industry to help you decide!
