Europe

More and more Singaporeans are seeing the benefits of studying in a European university, whether it be due to strengthened EU-ASEAN ties or having to foot minimal to no tuition fees. If you are amongst them, this fair is for you! Denmark, Finland, and Italy are just a few countries taking part in this fair. Well into its 11th year, the fair not only provides a brief overview of the countries and relevant information such as living costs but also informs fair-goers about scholarship and grant opportunities available.

  • ‘Study in France’ Education Fair

More than just the country of romantic cities (Paris, anyone?), France is also home to various notable institutes of learning such as the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po for short). Organized by the Embassy of France, in conjunction with Institut Francais and Campus France Singapore, the fair aims to spread the awareness of the universities in France, which do have programmes taught entirely in English. One of the fair’s highlights is sharing sessions by the alumni.

USA

The U.S has found favour with Singaporeans in recent years, with many flocking to American universities for their high world rankings and prestige. If you have yet to consider the U.S as an option or found yourself looking up “top universities in the USA”, consider going to this fair, which has over 35 universities in attendance, to find out more. Events include panel discussions with alumni, information sessions, as well as advice on how to secure student visas. For a little fun, enter the fair’s lucky draw!

United Kingdom

Organized by the British Council, get any queries on how to navigate the UCAS application process answered here, and speak with the different representatives to figure out which course and institution best fit you! The fair also holds helpful seminars to help address any concerns you might have about making the big leap from a little red dot to the charming, rainy, UK.

Canada

If your heart is set on studying in the land of maple syrup (also the birthplace of Margaret Atwood and Celine Dion), this fair will help you tremendously. Universities popping by this fair include the University of Alberta and the University of Waterloo, with talks given on how to apply for the necessary study permits.

General

This fair is for those keen on studying abroad in Australia or the U.K and welcomes O/N Level Students, A-Level Students, IB Diploma Students, as well as Poly grads (basically, almost everyone). Attendees are invited to speak to the counsellors at the fair and to submit applications directly if they wish. Organized by AUG Singapore, check out their various workshops for advice about certain disciplines and how to ace admissions tests.

Organized by Overseas Education Singapore, the World University Expo prides itself on being an “all-inclusive” fair, catering to students from different academic levels. The fair provides information on Foundation Courses, special pathways that help fast-track admissions into certain universities, and also provides admission and counselling services – with free priority services available. Some schools, such as the University of Edinburgh, appear exclusively at this fair, so be sure not to miss it!

“The Original University Expo”, organized by IDP Singapore, sees over 30 universities from New Zealand, Australia, and the U.K gather together. What catches our interest, in particular, is their VR Booth – which lets you view your dream university through a virtual campus tour! We sure hope that it’s a common feature in the coming years, too. IDP Singapore offers waivers on fees for onsite applications, and has an Overseas Student Support Corner to help with the procedures needed to live overseas, so look out for the next fair and save the date!
